In Loving Memory of my Tears

A few moments in our lives brings us into the present. At those specific moments, tears are often present in joy or sorrow – they capture the emotion and moment and identify us and our lives.

My teardrop sculptures specify a moment by incorporating a text, poem, lyrics or written words to the surface of the teardrop shape. To signify the moment, the teardrop will be positioned on a water ripple that will serve as the plinth with a magnetic stabilising effect.

Currently, I am working with 15 different shapes and sizes but aim to provide a sculpture that engages you in its present by holding it and letting it capture your thoughts and senses.

As a collector, you will be able to develop your own or your families collection in a clutter of ripples, or more rightfully denote your genuine thoughts and emotion for public sculpture capturing moments of a nation or a community.

I envision an entire wall installation in the gallery with approximately 70 different teardrops arranged in the format of a giant set box.
